The band F was formed in 1982 & released their first 12-inch record You Are An E.P. a year later. Prior to its release, the band broke up into two bands one punkrock & the other '70's-style heavy metal - with the same name & performing the same songs in their respective styles. This miniscule controversy - as well as a number of childish & unfriendly pranks - brought the band to the attention of the South Florida scene. For an effect probably not half as comical as they thought at the time, the band adopted the newly minted straight edge pose, complete with Xs etc.,while drinking heavily & behaving like spoiled,self-destructive, carnivorous swine. The band was scheduled to have a full length release out of Jello Biafra's label Alternative Tentacles, but they forgot! It was eventually pressed on another label.
This 7” features two F songs that have never been heard! A must have for any fan of FL Hardcore.
On the flip side Duke Decter premiers a brand new song from the DUKE DECTER ARMY with the promise of staying as controversial as his band F has.
Members have gone on to join THE EX-IDOLS, a reunion on The HENRY ROLLINS SHOW Casey Chaos and another member went on to start the popular metal band AMEN.
